Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving said on Friday that he observing Ramadan as part of his Muslim community, prompting changes in some of his pregame preparations. Irving spoke about the "adjustment" after scoring 15 points, 11 assists, nine rebounds and four steals in Friday's 109-104 win over the Boston Celtics having a 40-20 record.

The 29-year-old American professional basketball player added that referring to the Ramadan fast, he was "blessed and grateful to be part of it."

The NBA’s Brooklyn Nets dominated the Eastern Conference with a 109-104 victory over the Boston Celtics with a 40-29 record. Irving scored 15 points against the Celtics.

He also made 11 assists and nine rebounds.

Irving is a 2016 NBA champion with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Irving was the Boston Celtics guard in 2017-2019. After that, Nets signed him because he is a free agent. 

Seven-time NBA All-Star by U.S. Represented the national basketball team.

Helped the basketball team win gold at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
